Hope everyone had a nice Labor Day weekend. Gabriele and I got in some R&R and enjoyed the beautiful weather in the DC area. She and I have been exploring Rhones for the past few weeks, as I’ve highlighted in a couple of previous posts. Last night I coaxed her in front of the flip camera for a video post.
The 2007 vintage was supposedly phenomenal for Rhones, and they have been treating us well. (Here’s a post from Blake Gray talking about a tasting with Robert Parker, offering a laundry list of 2007s to try.) While waiting for some new M. Chapoutier to come in, we had a bottle of the 2007 La Bastide Saint Dominique Chateauneuf du Pape over the weekend. Here’s her take on that wine, and our wine exploration to date through the Rhone valley.
