Sunday I got to meet a lot of fellow M5 owners I knew only via M5Board.com. The meeting place was the parking lot of the Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax, and 13 enthusiasts showed up on a beautiful fall day.

It was a blast to meet the members behind the board handles I’ve gotten to know over the past few months, and see their beautiful M5s. Highlights for me were Adam’s muffler delete knowledge, James on Dinan modifications and Valentine radar integration and Mark’s 2003 Chiaretto Red with Caramel interior, a rare color combination. It was fun to compare my 2002 Le Mans blue with Max’s 2000 Avus blue side by side. Both beautiful, Avus is slightly darker.

Just a group of guys taking time out of their weekends to share information that makes the ownership experience of these amazing cars even better – pretty cool. Thanks to Fernando for taking the lead in setting up the gathering. I took some quick videos to capture some of the owners in their own words.

  1. Hi, I’m writing from Vancouver,British Columbia,Canada. It’s so nice to see so many enthusiast gather in one place. I’ve been trying to get involved with M5 owners in this area, but they don’t seem to be as free with information as you southern boys.I own 3 M5s.2001`black w/blue inserts on seats,2003 black on black and 2003 blue on black.I think that I have gone a little overboard on M5s.Anyway, it is nice to see gatherings of this magnitude.Keep up the good work. Regards,R.E.Lee
