WashingtonExec published my latest Wine and Dine column today. I talk about the common bias against hotel restaurants, and how that shouldn’t dictate your dining decisions.

Case in point are two excellent meals we had recently at Jackson 2o and Morrison House Grille, two properties in Old Town Alexandria managed by the Kimpton hotel chain.  The wines I discuss in the column are the 2008 Helix Pomatia by Reininger Winery and the 2008 Gigondas La Gille from the Perrin family.

These Kimpton restaurants belied the conventional wisdom about hotel restaurants. If you’ve been to either, please share your take via a comment.
